| | Sunday 06 July 2008 | | Site back up and running | | | | After much waiting, the snarkcafe site is back up and running as well as the forums. Its taken much time and effort to remove phpnuke from this site and install phpbb3, all with out loosing a single post and user in the process.
I know it doesn't look like much now but this will be getting a make over, over these next few days or so. I plan on customizing this new site to suit our needs, adding such items as the chat on the front page, donations, and game server lists.
Hopefuly now we can return to a more nomal site, with actual downloads and content, unlike phpnuke when it was imposible to add stuff like that easily! It was even a difficult task to even add a simple news post on the front page let alone try to actualy create some unique content.
PLEASE NOTE that the forums are seprate from the main site, the problem was (which is why it took so long) is that there was no easy way to integrate the forums (phpbb3) into the main site with out some bad comprimizes. This was the best solution as i don't want to have to rely on a third-party for updates to phpbb and main site. Which is the main reason we got rid of phpnuke in the first place.
