Changes to SC

Well if you haven't already heard, the future of SC was up in the air a few hours ago.

This is a serious matter. The fact of the matter is that Fire has pretty much had enough of petty little things on the server, especially regarding some of the {RS} clan members. Believe it or not, a few of us were sat in a group chat in steam less than 2 hours ago being told by Fire that he was considering scrapping SnarkCafe, and handing all resources including members to CozmicShreader to keep some continuity to the community.

As you can imagine, we were all horrified.

But disaster has been overted! After lengthy discussion with Fire, he has now appointed me leader of SnarkCafe. He voiced that he was tired of the stress and wanted to take a much more passive role and just play the game. So there is a bit of a shake-up.

FireWired is still, and wil always be the owner and grand leader of SnarkCafe, his decison will always be final!

To avoid the stress which he no longer wants, he has appointed myself to do the day-to-day running of SC, including administration of site, forums and game servers, aswell as running the Clan, members and the community as a whole.

Thebard will also b e joining me as a leader of the clan. Please also note that Riki/HyPNOS has stepped down from any role of responsibility, so please so him respect as one of the oldest surviving {RS} memebrs.

I'm Working with Fire to establish a heirachy for the {RS} clan.

Obviously you will use the highest rank you have achieved.

Rank 1 will be {RS-L}. These are the leaders of SnarkCafe, thier say is final in any matter!
Current leaders with this tag are myself, Firewired and Thebard

Rank 2 will be [RS-C}. These are the previously appointed game captains for individual games.
Current captains include Kagari, Bleh, Jazz, Xguy and Thebard.

Game captains will liase with the {RS-L} and the community to organise events, both competitive and non-competitivie ones.

Rank 3 will be {RS-S}. This is the general Staff for the RabidSnark clan. This tag will replace {RS-M} and anyother like that. These are your first port of call if you have any problems and should be treated with the utmost respect.

Rank 4 will be {RS-R}. Previously {RS-r}, which is the recruit rank, the default rank given to new clan members on thier induction period. Be active and responsible and the leaders may give you a promotion to {RS-S}.

And finally the honourary role of {RS-H} which will be award to long serving members who no longer want to be involved in the ratrace of the clan. The only member who has attainted this prestigious rank is Riki/HyPNOS.

Please wear your highest ranking tag, and only wear one if you are a member of the {RS} clan. Remember that wearing the {RS} tag is a privilage and not a responsibility! This means you must wear the tag whereever you can, in-game, steam, forum, etc... If you don't feel like wearing the tag, then we won't feel like recognising you as a member. It has been stated now, so there is no excuse!

With that said, we are a community before we are a clan. Wearing the {RS} doesn't make you any better than any non-members and everyone deserves the same respect!

I will be following Fires ideas, in trying to get the community to progress into more recent games, whilst keeping SvenCoop as the core of SnarkCafe. So please let me know if you guys have any ideas about games the community could move into.

I will also be lending my technical skills to Fire to keep every apsect of the community up-to-date, site, forum and server included. We will continue to add more and more exiting features for our dedicated members.

Please remember that it's not cheap running all of this, and your donations help massively to keep SnarkCafe ticking over. And as a patron you are greatly rewarded for your donations, they don't go unoticed.

I'm glad to see that Snark Cafe won't be scrapped. I'm sure everyone will be happy to have you as our new Leader.


Oh and it's okay Kagari.

As a matter of fact, I changed my name to 'Blah' back in '07 on a 'Garry's Mod' Zombie Survival server.

In the Zombie Survival gamemode, saying 'Blah' in the chat killed you.
(Incase you wanted to become a zombie or got stuck)

So when people tried to address me in their chat, they would die.

People eventually found a work around though by calling me 'Mr. B'
